Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to the official University of Warwick online gift shop which is run by the University in partnership with Infinity Inc.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means users should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels and font sizes
- Zoom in up to 300% without text spilling off the screen
- Navigate most of the website using a keyboard
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website may not yet be fully accessible. For example:
- Some third-party components (e.g. Shopify templates or plug-ins) may not fully meet accessibility standards
- Some images may not yet have fully optimised alternative text
- Some interactive elements (e.g. navigation, filters, checkout journeys) may require further testing for full keyboard accessibility
- Colour contrast and visual hierarchy may require further refinement in places
- Some functionality within the checkout process is managed by Shopify and may have limitations outside of our control
We are actively working with Infinity Inc. to review and improve accessibility across the site.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility
The University of Warwick is committed to making this website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
Non-compliance with accessibility regulations
The following issues have been identified during testing and are being addressed:
Cookie consent banner
The website uses a third-party cookie consent solution provided by Usercentrics (Cookiebot). Accessibility testing has identified issues relating to iframe naming requirements, where certain iframe elements do not currently have accessible names that can be interpreted by assistive technologies. As this functionality is provided by a third-party platform, we are working with the supplier to resolve the issue. A support case has been raised with Usercentrics and further improvements are planned following launch.
Graduation promotional carousel
The slideshow element for the Graduation call-to-action at the bottom of the homepage contains a focusable element that may affect keyboard and screen-reader users when navigating the page.
Colour contrast for form on ‘Contact us’ page
The form plugin automatically makes the label colours lighter than the assigned colour. We are investigating whether the plugin settings can be overridden to improve compliance.
Header navigation structure
Accessibility testing has identified issues within the website navigation where certain list elements contain presentation roles that are not valid within that context.
Disproportionate burden
We are not currently claiming any disproportionate burden exemptions.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
Some third-party content or functionality provided by Shopify or integrated applications (such as payment processing or cookie consent tools) may not be fully under the University’s control. We are working with our suppliers to ensure these components meet accessibility standards wherever possible.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are working with our development partner, Infinity Inc, to address the issues identified through accessibility testing.
This includes:
- Working with Usercentrics to resolve accessibility issues within the cookie consent banner
- Reviewing the Graduation promotional carousel to remove hidden focusable elements
- Investigating improvements to colour contrast within third-party form components
- Reviewing navigation markup and ARIA implementation
- Re-testing the website prior to and following launch using automated accessibility tools and manual review
